CA Foundation 2019 – ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India) declares the result for CA Foundation May 2019 exam online at icaiexam.icai.org on 14th August 2019 or by registering online to get their result at their registered email or by SMS. Roll number, pin number or registration number is required to check the CA Foundation 2019 result online. CA Foundation is the entry level examination for the students who are going for Chartered Accountancy Course. It is conducted twice a year once in the month of May and once in the month of November. CA Foundation 2019 Eligibility Criteria

A Student who wishes to apply to appear for CA Foundation May 2019 exam must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as given below.

  • Should have registered for Foundation Course with Board of Studies before the cut-off date OR converted to Foundation Course with Board of Studies of ICAI.
  • The Student should have passed 10+2 exam from a recognized Board.

Exemption from Appearing In Foundation Exam 

The Students who fulfill the below-given eligibility criteria will be exempted from appearing in the Foundation exam

  • Students who possess a Graduation or Postgraduation degree in Commerce and have secured a minimum of 55% of total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any recognized University (including Open University) with certain subjects. OR
  • Students who have completed their graduation or post graduation in a stream other than Commerce should have secured a minimum of 60% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any recognized University (including Open University) OR
  • Students who have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or the Institute of Company Secretary of India are exempted from passing Foundation Examination.

CA Foundation 2019 Exam Pattern

Foundation Course comprises of four papers, out of 4 papers, 2 papers are subjective type (Paper 1 & 2) and rest of the 2 papers are objective type (Paper 3 & 4). There is also a negative marking for Papers 3 & 4 only. No negative marking for subjective papers i.e. 1 & 2.

Note: students of Foundation Examinations will be allowed to opt for Hindi medium for answering papers. However the medium of Examination will be only English in respect of Post Qualification Course.

How to Become CA (Chartered Accountant) in Revised Scheme

Under the Foundation Course Route, a Class X pass student may register itself with the Board of Studies (BoS) of the Institute for the Foundation Course. The steps are as follows:

  • Register with Board of Studies (BoS) after appearing in Class XII examination so as to complete four months study period (i.e. register till 30th June / 31st Dec. for November/May Examination).
  • Qualify Class XII examination (if not done earlier)
  • Appear for Foundation examination in November/May.
  • Qualify Foundation Course.
  • Register with the BoS for the Intermediate Course
  • Complete 8 months of study course.
  • Appear and Pass in either or both Groups of Intermediate Course.
  • Successfully complete Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) anytime after registering for Intermediate Course but before commencement of the Practical Training.
  • Register for three years Practical Training on passing either or both the Groups of Intermediate Course.
  • Register for the Final Course after qualifying both the Groups of Intermediate Course.
  • Successfully complete Four Weeks Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS) during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for Final Examination.
  • Appear in Final examination during last six months of practical training. • Complete Practical Training
  • Qualify both groups of Final Course.
  • Become Member

A. Steps for eligible Graduates and Post Graduates:

  • Register with the BOS for the Intermediate course (provisional registration allowed to the students doing Final year of graduation).
  • Successfully complete Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) before commencement of the Practical Training.
  • Register for Three Years Practical Training.
  • Appear in Intermediate Examination after Nine months of Practical Training
  • Qualify Intermediate Course.
  • Register for the Final Course after qualifying both Groups of Intermediate Course.
  • Successfully complete Four Weeks Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS) during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for Final Examination.
  • Appear in Final examination during last six months of practical training.
  • Complete Practical Training.
  • Qualify both groups of Final Course.
  • Become Member

B. Steps for eligible students who have passed Intermediate level examination of Institute of Company Secretaries of India or Institute of Cost Accountants of India:

  • Register with the BoS for the Intermediate Course.
  • Complete 8 months of study course.
  • Appear and Pass in either or both Groups of Intermediate Course.
  • Successfully complete Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) anytime after registering for Intermediate Course but before commencement of the Practical Training.
  • Register for Three years Practical Training on passing either or both the Groups of Intermediate Course. Register for the Final Course after qualifying both the Groups of Intermediate Course.
  • Successfully complete Four Weeks Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS) during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for Final Examination.
